Pricing units explained

Per linear foot and per linear yard are the US and Canadian norm; per linear metre is standard in the UK, Europe and Australasia. Per inch appears occasionally on made-to-order runners. Choose the one on your quote — the calculator converts internally.

What price to expect

Rather than quoting made-up averages, use two or three real supplier prices in the field and compare the totals. The share link lets you send each version to a client side by side.

Tax, delivery and the true total

Ask whether delivery and tax are already included in the quote. Enter it as a flat figure and set your tax rate to build an estimate; the supplier’s final invoice may also include preparation, binding or other agreed charges.
